Opponent Notes:
Word out of Montreal is that rookie Dustin Tokarski will make his NHL playoff debut in goal tonight for the injured Carey Price. Tokarski was 2-0-0 with a 1.84 gaa, .946 sv. % and 1 so with the Canadiens this season. The 2008 fifth-round draft pick went 20-16-3 with a 2.38 GAA and .919 save percentage for the Hamilton Bulldogs, Montreal’s AHL affiliate this year. Tokarski  appeared in 14 playoff games in 2012 with Tampa’s AHL affiliate in Norfolk where he went 12-2 with a .944 save percentage, 1.46 GAA and three shutouts. He was also Canada’s primary goaltender at the 2009 world junior championships where he made 39 saves in the gold medal game. Tokarski also led the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL to the 2008 Memorial Cup.

- P.K. Subban is pointless in the last three games.

- Lars Eller has three points (2g, 1a) in the last three games.

- Thomas Vanek was pointless with a -2 in Game 1.

- Tomas Plekanec has just one goal in his last nine games.

- Max Pacioretty had a three game point streak stopped in Game 1.

- Alex Galchenyuk, who has been out with a knee injury since April 9, could return to the lineup tonight. The 20-year old had 13g, 18a in 65 games this season.

- The Canadiens were 0-for-3 on the power play in Game 1 and allowed three goals on seven power play opportunities against.

- Here’s a highlight video of Tokarski since I’m assuming most Rangers fans (including myself) aren’t familiar with the kid…
