The Kings got a huge scare yesterday as Jonathan Quick was forced to leave practice early after taking a shot off his collar bone…
After practice, Quick dismissed any possibility of a long term injury stating he wasn’t shaken up and is 100%.
Quick said the shot struck him “a little bit high. Somewhere between my head and my knees.”

Kings coach Darryl Sutter said there is no reason to be concerned about Quick’s status for Game 1.
Quick’s backup is Martin Jones. Jones posted a 12-6-0 regular-season record with a 1.81 goals-against average and .934 save percentage.
…apparently, immediately after the injury, Michel Therrien called a press conference to blame Kreider.
…i don’t know, this injury seems kind of fishy to me. Kyle Clifford looks like his high shot was done “accidentally on purpose.”
…the Rangers have faced back-up goaltenders in two of their three playoff series due to injuries to the starters. Could you imagine if Quick went down as well? You’d have the national media clamoring to put an asterisk next to the Rangers name in the records book if they were to win the Stanley Cup.
