No Supplementary Discipline for Read Head Shot on Carcillo

Once again, the NHL proves they have no interest in taking dangerous head shots out of the game as they disgracefully decided not to hand down any supplementary discipline to Matt Read for his disgusting shoulder to Dan Carcillo’s chin last night.

You heard that correctly. Read was neither fined nor suspended for action that could have ended Carcillo’s night, playoff and career.

…so basically because there was no serious injury, Read isn’t a repeat offender and Dan Carcillo was the victim another head shot is allowed to go unpunished. Meanwhile, Sean Avery was suspended indefinitely for saying “sloppy seconds.” Only in Bettman’s NHL.
