Miller Returned to Hartford For 1,001st Time This Season

According to the AHL Transaction report (H/T reader Josh-CK), the Rangers have assigned JT Miller to the Hartford Wolfpack…again.

Miller has been a healthy scratch the last two games after Alain Vigneault was critical of his performance following the Rangers loss to Calgary last Friday.

Hartford still has eight games remaining in their season, but will not be participating in the post season.

…looks like Carcillo has made someone expendable. While I think Miller deserves an extended look these last few weeks, especially once the Rangers eventually clinch a playoff spot, if AV doesn’t feel comfortable using him then getting playing time in Hartford is absolutely the correct decision. Makes little sense to have him rotting in the press box the remainder of the season.

…plus the Rangers still have Haggerty, who I’m sure AV is chomping at the bit to give serious minutes. lol
