#NYR Lineup Update: McDonagh, Girardi, and St. Louis are all healthy but will not play tonight..Talbot starts in goal

McDonagh says his shoulder is 100% and he has full range of motion.
“I feel ready to play, I am ready to go, but you have to respect the coach’s decision..I’ll be ready when the playoffs start,” McDonagh added.
…the Rangers completely dodged a bullet with the McDonagh injury. A few other teams haven’t been so lucky lately including Tampa (Bishop) and Avalanche (Duchene). With McDonagh back, I feel better than ever about Rangers chances of making legit run this spring.
…no surprise that AV choose to sit some players. I wonder what went into the decision to sit St. Louis? Age? Banged up? Allow him an opportunity to sit back & watch a game in attempt to jump start his goal scoring?
Justin Falk (first game since Dec. 29th) and Dan Carcillo will be inserted into the lineup.
Neither Chris Kreider (broken hand) nor Ryan Haggerty made the trip to Montreal.
Larry Brooks at the New York Post reminds us that Haggerty is ineligible for the playoffs (wasn’t on Rangers reserve list at trade deadline) and will skate with the Hartford taxi squad if he doesn’t play for Team USA at the World Championship.
