2014 NHL Stanley Cup Final - Game Four

Doughty: We Want To Win More Than the Rangers

“There’s no way that we’re going to play a bad game tonight, that’s for sure.

“We are fully prepared for this game. We want this so bad. We want to win this more than them, there’s no doubt about that.” – Drew Doughty (via SportsNet)

…oh yeah, I forgot Doughty’s on the Kings. Haven’t seen him since that between the legs goal in Game 1.

Doughty added that the Kings need play tonight’s contest with a Game 7 mentality because a win gives the Rangers further life (via Newsday)…

“You forget about how many games we played, (but) the more games we keep playing, it might catch up to us. so that makes tonight even more of a must-win for us.”

Doughty then further discussed the Rangers success in Game 7s.

…Doughty is a pretty candid guy, but he’s not doing his teammates any favors here. Not only has he provided the Rangers with some bulletin board material, he’s also given us some insight into what seems like a crack in the Kings mental toughness. A must win up 3-1? Really, Drew? Really?

…i mean Game 5 hasn’t even been played and this guy’s worried about a possible Game 7? That’s not what I want to hear if I’m a Kings fan.
