Dorsett On Schedule to Return After Olympics

Alain Vigneault announced after practice today that Derek Dorsett will have more x-rays on his broken leg tomorrow but is "coming along" & is "on schedule to play" after Olympic break.

Dorsett broke his leg blocking a shot during a January 3rd contest against the Penguins. The injury was initially said to take 4-6 weeks to heal.

…oh yeah, Derek Dorsett. Forgot about that guy.

…Carcillo has done an amazing job replacing Dorsett in the lineup (Carcillo = Avery). So much so, I'd say he's probably going to stay in the lineup once Dorsett is healthy. Meaning Dorsett could either stay in the press box as a healthy scratch or replace Moore or Boyle in the lineup.

…it won't be an easy decision for AV as the fourth line has been very effective since being created after the Carcillo trade.

…or maybe AV looks in another direction for a healthy scratch. Despite his fluky goal on Sunday, it's not like Hagelin has been lighting the world on fire lately.
