"I really don't know that much, I haven't talked to (the Rangers) that much. The last I heard is that they are interested, so we'll see."
His thoughts on getting back to the NHL…
"I have not quite decided yet. But it's the NHL, so if the chance comes clearly it's tempting. But I have not thought about it much yet."
Zuccarello adds that he won't return to the NHL just to prove he can play at that level and that he had no problems with John Tortorella during his tenure with the Rangers. He did add that injuries and not living up to expectations made the decision not to bring him back this past offseason easy for the Rangers.
Meanwhile, Zuccarello’s agent, Don Meehan, told the New York Post has been in contact with Rangers assistant general manager Jeff Gordon, who said he would confer with Glen Sather and get back to him.
…my thoughts on a Zuccarello return are just as inconsistent as the Rangers play this season. One day I don't think they need him the next, I wonder if he could help.
…there's no denying the spark he gave the Rangers at the end of the season last year, but we have to remember that was just a small sample size and his larger NHL body of work indicates that his impact on the Blueshirts would likely be minimal.
