Following today's practice, Marc Staal declared himself ready to play tomorrow night in Florida against the Panthers.
Staal practiced on a defensive pairing with Conor Allen.
…Staal has definitely had his struggles this season as he continues to adjust to his compromised eye, but his return adds some much needed depth to the defensive corps.
The prognosis on Anton Stralman (wrist) is a little uncertain as the defenseman still isn't sure about availability tomorrow (via Rangers Twitter)…
"Today was a step forward, it felt better..we'll see about tomorrow and hopefully it will be even better"
With Stralman's status still up in the air, Alain Vigneault wouldn't commit to a lineup against the Panthers but both Michael Del Zotto and Justin Falk were taken aside by assistant coach Ulf Samuelsson during practice today making it likely one or both will be a healthy scratch meaning Allen will likely get a second straight game.
…i absolutely love that AV is giving Allen a second straight game despite Staal and maybe even Stralman returning from injury. He absolutely deserves it.
…not sure I agree with AV's decision to possibly scratch Falk over Moore. While both Moore and Del Zotto are more talented, Falk has by far been the more consistent of the three and offers some toughness to the blueline.
Henrik Lundqvist will start his second game in a row tomorrow and Ryan Callahan (knee) practiced in a non-contact jersey today.
