Staal Out With Neck Injury; Dorsett Has Bruised Wrist; Moore Out; Pouliot In

Alain Vigneault reports that Marc Staal will miss tonight's game with a neck injury due to a hit from the Devils Reid Boucher that knocked him out of last night's game.

Vigneault hopes that the symptoms he is feeling are not concussion related, but as a result of neck.

Rangers doctors will continue to monitor Staal for possible concussion.

Michael Del Zotto will take Staal's place on defense.

…with Staal's history, it's really hard for me to believe his symptoms are anything other than from a concussion. Really hope I'm wrong, but I'm not expecting to see Staal for awhile.

…time for Del Zotto to figure things out and take advantage of this opportunity.

Meanwhile, Vigneault also reports that Derek Dorsett had an MRI on his sprained wrist and it's just a bruise. He is day-to-day and will not play tonight.

…and the Rangers lack of toughness in the lineup will continue.

Finally, there will be another lineup change as Beniot Pouliot will be re-inserted into the lineup for Dominic Moore, whose play Vigneault feels has slipped.

…i do agree that Moore hasn't been great this season, but reinserting Pouliot on the fourth line makes zero sense. Yep, really looking forward to that fourth line of Pyatt-Boyle-Pouliot. Real shut down trio.
