In a web chat on ESPN.com, Katie Strang says there's a good chance the Rangers will stand pat at the trade deadline.
She adds that Glen Sather is likely to recognize that this isn't the year to go all in.
She reiterates the Rangers interest in Dan Boyle and Ryane Clowe, but says the asking price is probably too high.
Strang finishes by stating that a few of the guys the Rangers might have been interested in were either injured (Stephen Weiss, FLA) or re-signed (Nate Thompson- TBL).
…while it would make for a boring trade deadline, I wouldn't complain if the Sather sat on his hands.
…as I mentioned yesterday, if both Richards and Gaborik can be resurrected that's just as good as any trade they could make.
…would hate for the Rangers to overpay for guys like Clowe or Ribiero, when this team looks more like a first round punching bag than a Stanley Cup contender.
