#NYR expected to name Dan Lacroix as assistant coach today to complete Vigneault's staff. Former Ranger LW was ass't at TB last year.

Lacroix, who was drafted by the Rangers in 1987 and played 30 games with them between 1993-96 (including four games during 1993-94 season), was best known for his physical style while playing for the Flyers from 1996-1998 (aka Legion of Doom years).
Lacroix was also an assistant coach with the Islanders under both Ted Nolan and Scott Gordon.
Vigneault has said the third assistant coach would not be on the bench but more of his eye in the sky during games.
…if nothing else, if this year's Rangers team lacks toughness AV could summon Lacroix from the press box to send a message to opponents.
…in all seriousness, while Lacroix is more known for his time with the Flyers, I do like that he has a link to the Rangers from his past.
