According to Cap Geek, the Rangers have signed free agent defenseman Troy Donnay of the Erie Otters (OHL) to a three-year, entry level contract.
The 6' 8", 185lb defenseman had participated in the Rangers rookie camp at the beginning of the month and will participate in the Traverse City Prospect Tournament in September for the Blueshirts.
Donnay, 19, has 17 points, a minus-65 rating and 104 penalty minutes in 143 career OHL games.

The Rangers now have 47 players under contract with Derek Stepan and Brandon Mashinter still left to sign. An NHL team can not exceed fifty players under contract.
…a minus-65 in 143 games!!!!! Sounds like the missing piece to a Stanley Cup run to me.
