Opponent Notes:
– During the offseason, the Ducks traded Bobby Ryan to the Senator for Jakob Silfverberg, Stefan Noesen and a first-round pick.

– Silfverberg (2g, 1a) and Mathieu Perreault (2g, 1a) are tied for the team lead in points with three.

– Thankfully for the Rangers, Teemu Selanne retired this offseason. Wait, what?…

– Selanne is pointless and a -2 in two games this season.

– Ryan Getzlaf is goalless in three games.

– Cam Fowler is a -2 this season, making him a career -59.

– Tonight is the Ducks home opener.

– 21-year old Emerson Etem will make his season debut tonight after missing the first three games with a lower-leg injury he sustained in the preseason. Etem had just 3g, 7a in 38 games during his rookie season last year, but had 3g, 2a in the Ducks seven game first round loss to the Red Wings.

– The Ducks are 1-for-9 on the power play to start the season.
