#NYR on ice for very optional optional morning skate: Biron, Falk, Asham.

Henrik Lundqvist also participated in the optional skate.
…makes sense that only four guys showed up, because no one could use the extra practice.
…now I hate to make too big of a deal out of this because if they get bombed tonight it will have nothing to do with the lack of participation at a morning skate, but it seems to be a microcosm of what's wrong with this team. Over the course of the first four games, no one seems willing to do the little things it takes win at the NHL level, so by not attending a morning skate and work on the many aspects of their games that have been lacking up until this point (passing, shooting accuracy, etc.) it gives the impression that these guys don't want to go the extra mile to become a championship caliber team. I can't remember once during Torts' tenure that an optional skate was so sparsely attended. When a head coach takes a hands-off approach, attention to detail is the first thing to go.
…and where's our captain? Shouldn't he be the one setting the example?
