Update, 2:13 p.m.:
According to Larry Brooks at the New York Post, it doesn't appear that Rick Nash will have a hearing or receive any discipline for hit on Kopecky.
…as a Rangers fan, I'm pumped to hear this news, but as someone who'd like to see head shots out of the game, I couldn't be more disappointed.
With the Rangers struggling to find any offense lately, the last thing they need is to be without Rick Nash for a couple of games, but that is very likely to happen after his flying elbow to the back of the head of Tomas Kopecky last night…
…because Nash has no prior history and there was no injury, I doubt it'll be longer than a game, but I can't see how he's not suspended as he obviously left his feet to elbow Kopecky in the head. Not really sure what Nash was thinking there. Dangerous play for sure.
…while I'm only expecting one game, we all know how Shanahan screws the Rangers on suspensions, so I'm kind of worried.
