Dominic Moore was forced to leave last night's game against the Islanders after the first period due to an upper body injury.
After the game, Moore told Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record that he's "good" but would not elaborate further.
Moore has just one point (an assist) this season.
…while most disagree with me, I feel Moore has had a inconsistent start to the season (who on this team hasn't?). One game he's at 60% on faceoffs. The next he's at 40%. He is also part of a penalty kill that going into last night's game was ranked 17th in the NHL. Having said that, he's a veteran who's performed in the big game, so he will be a key cog moving forward and will be missed if he's out for a significant period of time.
…as far as a replacement, you guys know I'd be in favor of Mashinter stepping in. Nothing wrong with adding a young, tough kid with size to the line-up. Especially after watching Dorsett take more shots to the face than Voros in his fight against the much bigger Martin last night.
