McIlrath Injures Knee

During last night's Hartford Wolfpack 2-1 shootout loss, Dylan McIlrath hurt his knee along the boards and did not return to the game after needing help to get off the ice.

Reports from the game are that McIlrath turned his knee awkwardly.

McIlrath missed half of last season with a dislocated knee cap that required surgery. No word on whether the injury tonight was to the same knee.

…tough break for a young kid who shouldn't have been sent down in the first place. Just another setback for a guy who really can't afford one. McIlrath has obvious deficiencies in his game, so if he has to miss any significant time it'll likely stunt his development and making it that much less likely he gets a legit chance to make the squad out of camp next year.

…when it rains it pours and right now it's a deluge for the Rangers.
