Here's Yogan on being named captain…
…first let me start this by saying…damn it's good to be blogging about some actual hockey again.
…i'm not going to pretend I learned a whole lot about the Rangers prospects by watching that highlight package because I didn't. However, it was nice to see a lot of the bigger name guys get on the score sheet.
…seemed like Kristo was all over the ice as he showed good speed and ended up with eight shots on goal to go with his assist.
…i know St. Croix is supposed to be a scorer, but that was a sweet behind the back feed on the Yogan goal.
…speaking of Yogan, he's a guy not too many Rangers fans are talking about. If he can commit himself to working hard this season, he has the skills to turn some heads in the organization and maybe get himself in contention to be an injury call-up.
…two power play goals? AV already having a positive effect!
…didn't know who the hell Leroux was before the game, but now I do after he dropped a Hurricanes player with a straight left to the chin. Looking at the Rangers likely roster this season, they're going to need that kind of toughness.
…i know it's just his first game in a Rangers uniform but Skapski didn't exactly look like the Rangers goalie of the future.
