Fast Out For Rest of Regular Season?; Kreider Scores

Last night, Jesper Fast missed his third straight game with a lower body injury as the CT Whale lost to Manchester 3-1. After the game, Whale play by play man Bob Crawford said that it sounds like Fast will miss the rest of the regular season.

Fast suffered the injury in his CT Whale debut last Friday.

Crawford adds that Fast has not returned to Sweden and remains on the Whale roster.

…huge blow for the kid. Especially after scoring in his debut. He could have used a successful run with the Whale as a springboard for possibly making the Rangers roster out of camp next season.

…let's hope the Whale can hang on to a playoff spot, increasing the possibility of seeing Fast play again this season.

To the game, Chris Kreider scored the Whale's lone goal, while JT Miller was held scoreless in his return to the Whale line-up after being re-assigned earlier in the week.

Here's video of Kreider's goal (00:15 mark)…

…sweet move by Kreider. I still think it's better having him with the Whale.
