Del Zotto Signs (Updated: 2 Years, $2.55 million per)

Update, 10:50 p.m.:
Larry Brooks at the NY Post reports deal is for $2.55 million per year.

…i would have liked it to be a little lower, but I'm not going to get crazy for $250,000.

…at the end of the day, Del Zotto has two years to prove himself to the Rangers. At the end of his contract he'll be an RFA with arbitration rights. If he doesn't become a premiere power play pointman by then I see the Rangers walking away.

Update, 10:24 a.m.:
Pierre LeBrun at ESPN.com reports it is a two-year deal.

…shocked to see a two year deal, as basically the entire Rangers team is a free agent after the 2013-14 season. See here.

Original Post:

No terms have been released.

…had to assume this would get done this morning. Tough to comment without knowing the terms, but I can say that I'm glad to see Del Zotto back. Despite his defensive miscues, I think the Rangers would have really missed him if they couldn't have worked something out.
