CBA Ratification Vote Not Likely to Happen Until Saturday

Chris Johnson at the Canadian Press reports that a CBA ratification vote schedule hasn't been set for the players. He adds that the earliest it would likely be completed is Saturday.

Because of this vote, Johnson says that training camp likely won't open before Sunday, however, NHL Deputy Commisioner Bill Daly says that they are still on target for a 48-game season to start on January 19th, but just barely.

Both sides are currently writing the memorandum of understanding (which could be up to 100 pages). Neither side can vote on this until it's complete. The owners are expected to vote on radification tomorrow.

…it took over four months to come up with an agreement, I guess it's too much to ask for them to actually put this thing in writing in a timely manner.

…assuming this means we won't see a schedule until at least this weekend.
