Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports on a welcome sight today as Ryan Callahan joined his teammates during practice today.
Gross notes that Callahan was wearing a yellow non-contact jersey.
Callahan shooting puck fine, just ripped a one-timer. Key here for him is contact.

Kearns also has this quote from Callahan, who gave a 7-10 day time table for his return, on if he'll modify his game due to the injury…
"I am not gonna change the way I play."
…wouldn't expect any other answer from the Rangers captin.
…pleasantly surprised that he's out there shooting already. Figured that wouldn't have started up for another week. The guy's a gamer.
Also from practice, Gross says Chris Kreider participated in the entire session, however, about 15 minutes into practice, he switched into a yellow non-contact jersey. This is a likely indication that he will not be returning to the line-up tomorrow night in New Jersey.
…while I'm disappointed to hear this, absolutely no reason to rush him back and possibly cause further injury. Especially after the trade and call-ups today.
Finally, Gross reports that Dan Girardi was given the day off for "maintainance."
…if there's one guy who deserves a maintainance day every now and then it's Girardi.
