In a piece of surprising news from practice today, it was announced that Ryan Callahan will return to the Rangers line-up for the first time since breaking his thumb in Washington on October 16th.
Alain Vigneault says that Callahan was cleared to play by the medical staff so he is playing. He will wear protection on his thumb.
Vigneault added that JT Miller will likely be the healthy scratch.
When Steve Zipay at Newsday asked Miller about the scratch he responded with "I don't want to talk about it."
…not sure if I'm more shocked to see Cally back in the line-up or Pyatt somehow escape a healthy scratch yet again. He officially has pics of AV with farm animals. I'm convinced.
…back to Cally. What a warrior this guy is. With the reports coming from practice recently, I didn't expect him back till at least the end of the week. But we all know, if he's even close to being ready, he's going to play.
…so what do guys think? Back on IR by the end of the second period.
…Miller's play has slumped the last two games, but no way he deserves to be in the press box over Pyatt. I don't blame him for being upset. Actually, I like to see that. Shows he cares.
…oh yeah Mashinter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd assume the lines will look like this tonight…
…maybe Cally and Pouliot flipped.
