Pierre LeBrun at ESPN.com is concerned that the Rangers don't have a viable Plan B for their backup goaltending situation after Marty Biron was placed on waivers and wonders if Ilya "Universe" Bryzgalov could be the answer…
"Given the belief that Lundqvist will at some point sign an extension with the Rangers, it would seem Bryzgalov represents a more likely option in terms of upgrading the team’s goaltending depth, and the idea of Bryzgalov on Broadway would make for some interesting times."
…i really don't even know where to start with this. Yes, having a backup goaltender with zero NHL experience isn't the most ideal situation, but it's still better than this…
…not only would this be a humongous big disaster on the ice, I can't imagine Bryzgalov's antics would be received well in the locker room.
…having said that, as a blogger this guy would be content gold.
