Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that John Tortorella will use the same philosophy as last year with his goaltending rotation. Henrik Lundqvist started 75% of the regular-season games (62), with Biron starting the other 20.
Leonard adds that in this year’s 48-game schedule, that would translate to 36 starts for Lundqvist and 12 for Biron.
…i'm sure Lundqvist would love to start every game, but I think he learned from last year that rest during the season translates into success in the post season.
…the only thing that sucks is that unless Lundqvist has a ridiculous year he will likely see an end to his record of seven straight seasons to start a career with at least 30 wins.
