Looks like the ridiculous ticket prices for the two games at Yankee Stadium in January are having a negative affect on sales as the Rangers have again reached out to season subscribers informing them they have a second opportunity to purchase tickets (via reader Jessica L.)…

Individual tickets have yet to go on sale.
…maybe the Rangers are just trying to be nice to their season subscribers by offering those who already purchased Yankee Stadium tickets an opportunity to purchase additional seats, but I've got to think the outrageous ticket prices have kept sales down and they've decided to hit up their human ATM machines (aka season ticket holders) a second to time to ensure maximum profit.
…got to figure that when the Rangers release individual tickets to the public they'll likely be gobbled up immediately so I'm not sure why they went back to the season ticket holders.
…you'd think New York sports franchises would learn from the mistakes that the Yankees and Mets made when they jacked up ticket prices for seats in their new ballparks and are now playing in front of half filled stadiums. Although, the sparse crowds at Citi Field has more to do with the performance on the field than the hit to the wallet.
