Allen to Make NHL Debut Tonight; Stralman, Staal Hope to Return Tuesday

Anton Stralman participated at practice this morning, however, he will not suit up for tonight's game in Tampa meaning Conor Allen will make his NHL debut tonight.

Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Stralman had his left wrist wrapped after practice, but x-rays were negative. Stalman said the injury occurred when he was hit on the wrist with the follow through of an Alex Ovechkin shot in the first period Friday night.

He hopes to return on Tuesday in Florida.

…i always get a little more excited about a game when a prospect makes his NHL debut. Looking forward to see what Allen has.

…obviously the Stalman injury is not all that serious if he plans to return on Tuesday. Guess it's ok to trade Del Zotto to Ottawa now.

Marc Staal (concussion) and Ryan Callahan (knee) also skated with the team. Callahan was wearing a non-contact jersey.

Staal is also eyeing a New Year's Eve return against the Panthers, while Callahan said his Jan. 7th timeline remains, for now.

…now it's really ok to trade Del Zotto. And maybe Girardi also. lol

…if I know Callahan, expect him back before Jan. 7th.

Mats Zuccarello and Derek Stepan were back on the ice after missing yesterday's practice with the flu.

…hope the Rangers medical staff passed around Airborne to the team yesterday.
