USA Jr. National Team Camp Ends With Miller as 13th Forward

millerusaIn the final scrimmage of their National Junior Team Development Camp in Lake Placid, NY, Team USA lost to Sweden by the score of 6-4.

Rangers 2011 first round pick J.T. Miller began the game as the 13th forward, but did receive a steady shift in the third period.

Miller finished the camp with 3 goals in six games.

Joe Yerdon at Pro Hockey Talks says Miller’s “abilities as one of the new guys on the team will help make Team USA a better squad in Edmonton at this year’s championships.”

Team USA finished the camp with a 3-2 record against Sweden and Finland. They also scrimmaged themselves once.

The 2012 U.S. National Junior Team will be selected in late December.

…a little bit of an up and down camp for Miller but he was able to make the first cut and put himself in position to represent the USA next year in Edmonton.

…him making the team will only help expedite his road to the Rangers.
