The Rangers Future Strut Their Stuff

bourquecampHere’s a great pic of Ryan Bourque participating in drills during yesterday’s first session of the Rangers development camp. For more pics from Day 1 head over to Blueshirts United.

Here is video of Carl Hagelin discussing his first development camp after today’s session…

Finally here are some post day 2 quotes from Dylan McIlrath and Christian Thomas (via Blueshirts Blog)…

McIlrath…

“The role I play, I’m going to need to be laying the body out. You can’t do that if you’re too light on your feet. I’m trying to work on all aspects in the gym, getting quicker but still adding muscle. The role I play, I need to be a bigger guy, and I’m feeling pretty confident that all aspects in the gym and on the ice are getting a lot better.”

Thomas…

“As I look ahead, my biggest goal is to play the best I can at camp, and at Traverse City, and main camp if I go. I want to let the Rangers know how I can play, how much better I’ve gotten, how much I’ve grown. The long-term goal is just to play for the Rangers. Playing in the OHL next year wouldn’t be bad either.”

…i for one will be shocked if there are many Jessimans or Brendls in this group of young prospects.
