With the way we fawn all over Michael St. Croix (2011 – 4th) on this blog, you'd think he's the perfect player. But in fact he's not, as Hockey's Future explains in their look at the Rangers' CHL prospects…
"The team's leading scorer once again this season, (St. Croix) is working hard to improve his strength on the puck. He will need to continue doing this, as well as working on his skating to make a successful transition to the next level, and to achieve his top nine forward potential."
…obviously St. Croix knows how to put the biscuit in the basket as evidenced by his 45 goals last year. But like any young player there are holes in his game. I love hearing that he's working on these deficiencies, because if he can turn himself into a better and stronger skater the sky's the limit for this kid.
St. Croix has 19g, 25a on the season.
