Small Plays Were So Huge

They don’t always get the glory, but sometimes the small, hardworking play that leads to the goal is just as important as the score itself. And we saw it twice last night…

On the Brad Richards tying goal, Ryan Callahan does an amazing job chipping the puck away from Jay Beagle off the faceoff to give the Rangers possession of the puck and the opportunity to tie it up (6 second mark)…

Then on the winner, not only does John Mitchell win the face-off, but he makes a perfect bank pass off the side wall to Marc Staal for the winner…
