Reader Domenic V. sends me this e-mail he received from the Rangers today…
Listed below is important information related to your Rangers Subscription and the credits applied to your account based on the Rangers home games scheduled in November that were cancelled.
Our records indicate that you have elected to participate in the Rangers True Blue Plan. As such, a credit of $$$(representing the value of the games cancelled in November) and interest in the amount of $$ (based on 2% annual interest on your account balance) has been applied to your account.
Because your subscription is paid in full, your interest payment will remain on your account as an account credit and can be applied towards the future purchase of 2013 NHL Playoff tickets or towards your 2013-14 season tickets.
For all eligible accounts, interest will accrue until either the resolution of the labor dispute or the end of the month in which a full season cancellation is announced, whichever comes first.
We hope that you find this information helpful. Should you have any questions about the Rangers True Blue Plan, your interest calculation or anything else related to your season subscription account, don't hesitate to contact me.
We will continue to keep you informed as the collective bargaining negotiations continue. We truly value you as an integral part of the Rangers Family and thank you for your continued support.
Your Dedicated Experience Manager,
Domenic adds that in the past he only got these when they cancelled games.
…hard to tell what this e-mail means, if anything. Maybe the Rangers are ready for games to start and they're letting everyone know where their account stands or maybe they're anticipating the season being canceled and are cleaning out their books.
…either way, with the CBA talks taking a turn for the better, it was an interesting time to send this out.
