…GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL, GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!

…we were owed that one Rangers fans after what Drury and Afinogenov did to us in Game 5 of Eastern Conference Semifinals back in 2007.

…this team has been resilient all season, but tonight’s victory took it to a whole other level. Something special happening here Rangers fans.

…i don’t care if Richards scores just one goal in the remaining eight years of his deal, it was so worth it. It never felt so good, to be so wrong.

…not sure there’s a player on the Rangers team who deserved to score that goal more than Staal after everything he’s gone through this season. Good for him.

…i will never criticize the power play again….maybe.

…was that John Mitchell winning the face-off on Staal’s winner? Man he’s come out of no where to make some big plays the last two games.

…Lundqvist has now given up more bad goals in the last two games than he did the first five months of the season. Let’s hope he’s gotten them all out of his system now.

…let’s not let the euphoria of the victory cloud the fact that the Rangers were having another dreadful night offensively. Don’t care how many shots they had, very few were quality scoring chances.

…which is why I was so disappointed in Tortorella’s decision to once again staple Kreider to the bench for most of tonight’s game. I can see maybe not using him if the Rangers are up a goal late, but when you’re tied or losing he has to be playing. And not on the fourth line with Mitchell and Rupp.

…great move by Stralman to avoid another blocked shot and score the Rangers first goal of the game. Hope Torts plays tape of that for the rest of the team. 25 more blocked shots for Caps tonight.

…amazing work to keep the puck alive by Callahan helping setup Richards’ game tying goal.

…Capitals might have been better off if Ovechkin was suspended tonight after his zero shot effort.

…thought Bickel had a strong physical start to the game and then I never saw him again.

…Hagelin may not be scoring but at least he put his face to good use tonight.

…combined -2 for Girardi and Staal. Man do they suck. lol

…i know the Capitals were able to bounce back from the three overtime loss but this might be too much for them to overcome. Devastating.

…off tomorrow then Game 6 in Washington Wednesday night.
