Pat Leonard of the Daily News reports that Carl Hagelin had his hearing with the NHL at 1:30 p.m. A decision is expected later today.
…there better not be a suspension. Although I am fully expecting one.
Meanwhile, all the healthy players were at practice execpt for Henrik Lundqvist who was given the day off.
With Hagelin at the hearing Fedotenko skated with Richards and Gaborik, while Kreider was on a line with Boyle and Prust.
…seeing Kreider practicing with the top 12 over Scott has me thinking if Hagelin is suspended, it’ll be the Rangers top prospect in there. Tough spot for him in what should be a raucous environment in Ottawa.
Finally, Ken Warren at the Ottawa Citizen reports that Senators coach Paul MacLean says Alfredsson was “feeling good today” but is being further evaluated, while Elliotte Friedman of HNIC adds that the Senators captain will be re-evaluted tomorrow, and his status is uncertain.
…great, Hagelin is going to be suspended and Alfredsson isn’t even hurt.
