No Timetable for Drury

druryJesse Spector at the Blueshirts Blog reports that Chris Drury (remember him?), who is five weeks into the expected six week recovery from arthroscopic knee surgery, has not begun skating, the Rangers have no update on his condition, and there is no timetable for his return.

…safe to say unless the Rangers make a deep run into the playoffs we’re not going to see Drury for the rest of the season.

…the question now is whether this knee injury is so severe it could force him into retirement. Fiscally that would be great for the Rangers who are going to be up against the cap as they try to re-sign all their RFAs and possibly Brad Richards this summer. But on the human side you’d really hate to see a player of Drury’s caliber go out that way.
