Miller Expected to Wear “C” for USA World Jr. Team

Chris Peters at the United States of Hockey reports that J.T. Miller is expected to be named captain of the USA World Junior team…

"He’s the lone returning forward and has professional experience. The word that keeps popping up when they mention him is mature. It sounds like Miller is embracing his role."

…that would be an amazing honor. I hope he gets it.

Speaking of Rangers prospects, Hockey's Future takes a look at the Rangers organizational depth at each position…

"The New York Rangers have become one of the NHL teams that rely most on good player development. As the result of a rebuild that lasted at least half of the last decade, close to half of the players on the 2011-12 roster had either been drafted or signed as free agents out of junior hockey."

…wow that quote is like music to my ears. After all the failure of trying to buy a winner, it is so rewarding to see the Rangers rebuilding efforts paying off.
