Elliotte Friedman at CBC Sports has this quote from former Rangers back-up goaltender Alex Auld on what makes Henrik Lundqvist so good…
“Henrik is so efficient. Because he plays so deep, he doesn’t need to move much. He’s able to take in more [mentally] and there’s less confusion going in his head. He’s focused. Able to read the play. It’s very hard to teach that.”
…with the way Lundqvist has been playing lately maybe he needs to play a little deeper. I kid Hank.
…i really think the flu is the cause of his recent struggles, not only is it physically draining, but by keeping him away from the rink it likely messed with his routine thus throwing off his rhythm. Assuming it’s only a matter of till he starts feeling it again.
