Larry Brooks at the New York Post reports that as of now, Henrik Lundqvist does not plan on playing in Europe unless NHL season is canceled.
While Brad Richards is currently pondering options, but is not having any discussions with clubs in Europe.
…with Lundqvist being such a workhorse and Richards up there in age, I think the time off might be the best thing for those two. Younger guys need to play, but I have no problems with veterans taking some extra time to preserve their bodies.
Brooks also adds to the speculation that Michael Del Zotto is looking overseas, by noting that he is in talks with Swiss league teams.
