“Putting over-wrought sports metaphors aside, Avery bought the 1,112-square-foot condo not far from his other home at Madison Square Garden for $1.46 million in 2007, and has just sold it for $1.4 million, according to city records. The Modlin Group listing shows there are two bathrooms, a small terrace and “top of the line, unique modern finishes” designed by Andres Escobar and Karl Fischer. Listing agent Marisa Sargent declined to comment.”

…even athletes can’t escape the recession.
