I can’t believe it’s been 11 years since 2,977 innocent people were murdered on a beautiful Tuesday morning in September of 2001.
While their lives may be lost, they will never be forgotten.
One image that is seared into my brain from the aftermath of that horrific event was Mark Messier wearing the helmet of fallen firefighter Ray Downey during the Rangers home opener against Buffalo on October 7th. Still remains one of the greatest sporting events I’ve ever attended.
So please take a second to remember those who perished that day.
