Won’t be much going on at the blog today as I celebrate my 35th birthday.
I thought I’d be a little more depressed today. Am I really in my mid-30s?!?!?!?!? But you know what? Life is good. I have an amazing family, a job I love and I run a blog that truly makes me happy.
And the biggest reason for that happiness are my readers. You guys and gals are awesome. Whether it’s sending me a link, e-mailing me your thoughts on the state of the Rangers or tweeting me about a spelling error (what is this the SATs?) you are always there for me and the blog.
The reason the blog is so successful is because of you. My blog posts aren’t linked to on Yahoo! or other major sports media websites and I’m not backed by a main stream media outlet. So the only way word gets around about TheNYRBlog is from my readers. Re-tweets, Facebooking, e-mailing, dropping one of my links in a Rangers message board or just telling a friend, you guys have done it all to spread the word and for that I am ridiculously thankful.
While I’m not the biggest fan of the Brad Richards signing I feel the Rangers continue to move in the right direction and it’s only a matter of time before I’m blogging about a Stanley Cup run.
Anyway, off to enjoy my birthday. I’ve set a couple stories to post later so it won’t be totally dead around here today. I’ll talk with you all later.
