…if Monday night was the most thrilling game of the season, tonight was the most depressing. I can’t for the life of me figure out how this team could play with no sense of urgency with the season on the line. One thing you can always count on with the Rangers is hard work and for some reason in the most important game of the year it wasn’t there. And a little scoring would have been nice. Very disappointing.
…you know what this team needed tonight? Ryan Callahan.
…now not only is Gaborik not scoring, he can’t even back check.
…all I can say is poor Hank.
…it kills me to say this but the Rangers need to get rid of Avery this offseason. If he’s not going to play on the edge, while not being able to make even the simplest plays (see not clearing the puck on first goal) why is he on the team?
…bad time for Girardi to play his worst game of the season.
…i know Dubinsky had a huge moment Monday night, but I was hoping for more from him tonight after knowing he needed to step up with Cally going down.
…guess Gilroy’s year in a half of forward experience at BU didn’t do him well tonight. Shocking.
…if the Rangers don’t make it to the playoffs the one thing they can look back at is there ineptness on the power play. Amazing how many times the power play killed momentum instead of created it this year.
…wonder what Prospal thought of the boos tonight?
…any chance Thrashers put forth same effort against Canes tomorrow night? I didn’t think so either.
…just read back my thoughts man I’m miserable right now.
…i’ll end this on a positive note. I still feel this team gets it done. Every time they’ve had their backs against the wall this season they’ve come through. So why not one more time.
…final game with the season on the line Saturday afternoon against the Devils at 12:30 p.m.
