Kreider 27th Ranked Prospect

kreidernyrHockey’s Future continues their top 50 prospects rankings with numbers 21-30 and Chris Kreider (2009 – 1st) lands at #27…

27. Chris Kreider – RW – New York Rangers
Height: 6-2 Weight: 205

Now in his third season as a member of the Boston College Eagles, Kreider is a power forward, with excellent speed and good hands. Kreider was drafted out of high school by the New York Rangers, and since that time has played in the World Junior Championships for the United States, as in well as the Men’s World Championships. This is expected to be Kreider’s final season with the Eagles, after which he will compete for an NHL roster spot next fall.

Tim Erixon was ranked 31st and Ryan McDonagh was #32 (see here).

…this list has been awful so far. First how is McD a prospect? And even if he was no way Erixon is better. And now Kreider is only ranked 27th. Obviously, I’m biased here but he has to be a top 10 prospect in the NHL. Especially after all the praise and accolades he received this past weekend.

…to make matters worse, Kreider is ranked as the Rangers top prospect by Hockey’s Future so somehow J.T. Miller, Christian Thomas and Dylan McIlrath won’t make this list.
