Hagelin to Play for Whale this Spring?

hagelinHockey’s Future takes a look at some of the top prospects and has this to say about Rangers prospect Carl Hagelin (2007 – 6th)…

“Depending on how deep Michigan gets into the playoffs this year, Hagelin could very easily find himself playing for the New York Rangers’ AHL affiliate as early as the spring.”

HF adds that under the tutelage of legendary Wolverines coach Red Berenson, Hagelin has developed into a complete two-way forward, capable of contributing in all situations.

There have been rumors about the Rangers not wanting to sign Hagelin, however Larry Brooks has since quelled them.

…the more I read about Hagelin the more excited I get about him. Being a 2007 pick I really only started hearing about him last season, but from everything I’ve seen he looks like another Stepan. Which I would sign up for in second.
