Yesterday, I posted about a conspiracy theory I had about the NHL not wanting Sean Avery to get in the All Star game.
Just some quick background. On Wednesday, @NHL DM’d me on Twitter that there was a daily limit of 30 votes. However I questioned that statement because the official ballot says the 30 limit is for the sweepstakes not voting and if you go over 30 votes the ballot still says your vote is accepted. It is now Friday and I still have not received a response from @NHL.
Now comes this, TheNYRBlog reader RandomRanger left a link in the comments section to an NHL press release on the rules for All Star voting which states this…
“For the fourth straight NHL® All-Star Game, the balloting process is entirely digital, offering sports’ most tech-savvy fans the ability to vote as often as they like via mobile devices and online.”
At no point is a daily limit ever mentioned.
So I have to ask, why would @NHL tell me there is a daily limit when their own press release says there isn’t? Hmmmm.
To vote for Avery you can either go to NHL.com or text “Sean Avery” to 81812.
