Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Chris Drury had the left index finger that he re-broke on Oct. 15 X-rayed tonight and everything came up clean. Meaning he has been cleared to play and will be in the lineup Wednesday night against the Penguins.
“I think he wanted to play tonight,” Tortorella said. “He’ll practice with us (Tuesday) and he’ll probably play in Pittsburgh.”
On who’s going to sit Tortorella added…
“No kids are coming out,” Tortorella said. “This is our captain coming in. Somebody has got to suffer. Somebody has got to come out but it’s not going to be one of the kids.”
…with Boogaard out with the shoulder injury and White being the 13th forward there is an open spot available so Torts won’t have to make a decision until either the Boogie Man or Prospal are ready to return.
…right now you’d have to think EC is the odd man out once one of those guys comes back.
…as far as Drury goes his face-off skills will be a nice addition.
