Bruce Garrioch at the Ottawa Sun reports that the Rangers are actively looking to move Alex Frolov…
“The Rangers are trying to move LW Alex Frolov to just about anybody. They don’t want much in return for Frolov, who was signed as a UFA in the off-season to a one-year, $3-million deal. GM Glen Sather is having a hard time finding any takers and Frolov didn’t help matters by complaining to a Russian journalist about his ice time last week. It’s believed the Senators looked at Frolov, but they don’t need any more soft forwards.”
On Thursday, Garrioch reported the Rangers weren’t shopping Frolov.
…this guy Garrioch is definitely approaching Eklund status.
…having said that, I hope this report is more accurate than his first. Unfortunately, if the Rangers are shopping AFro we are likely to see an increased role for him as the Blueshirts attempt to showcase him. Although, AFro probably looks better in the press box than he does on the ice.
